Wembley for Football - American Style!!!

Hello again. After our hectic September, we decided to take it easy in October. So we have been hanging around London with some of the new friends that we have made. Here we are at a pub with a group of them, watching the Phillie's (SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE CUBBIES!!!) game.

We also went out to a club called "Crazy Larry's" with a group of friends. We had a good time hanging out and dancing. The Brit's can definitely party!!! Here is a picture of the ladies.

We also went to Wembley to take in the NFL game. Surprisingly, the Brits actually were very interested in American football as there was not an empty seat in the house! As you could imagine, there were a ton of Americans at the game. We saw NFL jerseys from just about every team. Here were some of the sites:

Here is the new Wembley Stadium, as can be seen from the train station. The big arch lights up at night and looks quite cool.

It is weird to say but hearing the Star Spangled Banner, after not hearing for so long, was great! We definitely have a new found respect for the mother country...ha.

The New Orleans Saints were the home team so the halftime show was based on New Orleans traditions - in a Mardi Gras style parade. All in all, it was a fun experience and nice to have a taste of home while abroad. We are off to Prague in a couple of weeks and will post the trip when we are back!

Love to all and God Bless. Derek and Leah.
