Tea at the Ritz

Hi! So we are trying to finish up our time in London
with things that we have been meaning to do for two years.
High Tea at the Ritz was one for them. This is our waiter bringing
our tea.

I was in love with the silver tea set and the beautiful
china. The Ritz is booked up for afternoon tea for 2-3 months in advance
so we actually had to go at 11:30 am on a Sunday. Traditional tea time is 3-6.

However, we didn't mind having all those yummy treats
for lunch instead. We started with finely cut sandwiches
then on to the freshly baked scones and then the pastries.

Mmmm, my favorite scones with strawberry jam and
clotted cream. This is one thing I will truly miss about
the UK.

We were serenaded by the harp.

An up close shot of the yummy cakes and pastries
as our last course. The macaroon on the right was
my favorite - vanilla cream with chocolate and raspberry!

Beautiful flower arrangement in the middle of the room.

Another shot of the beautiful Palm Court.
It was a lovely afternoon and definitely a must do
in London!
