Interlaken and Meilen, Switzerland

So, one Sunday we woke up and decided to visit
Interlaken or the "town between the lakes". It
has been a vacation resort for over 300 years.

Pretty flowers in town.

One of the churches in town.

There was this big field and we could not tell
where the paragliders were landing from. It ends
up that they were jumping off a mountain and gliding
down to this field.

View of the water - so clean!

Pretty house in Interlaken.

We had some of the greatest views during the drive
there and back. Half of the trip was in tunnels (that went
through mountains) and half was on small twisting, winding
roads up and down the mountains. I thought that the trip there was half
of the fun. We will not be attempting that drive in the winter!

Here are some quick photos of me at 36 weeks.

Getting big! Not long now!

We had a fabulous weekend here in the Zurich
area so Derek and I bummed around Zurich and
Meilen. This is one of the small harbors in our
town of Meilen.

A view of the many vineyards right here in our
new town.

Another view of the Alps on our walk through Meilen.

A great restaurant on the Lake. Their terrace
is beautiful and the drinks and appetizers are great as well!

We finally made it to our Meilen beach. I waddled
as fast as I could on our walk - I am pretty slow these days!
There is no sand but tons of green space, baby pool, volleyball/
badminton courts, ping pong tables and then the view! So,
strange to be sitting on the rocks with me feet in the water
looking at snow capped mountains.
Love to all,
Leah and Derek
