Spain. And did we get a taste of that weather! They were having
is of Moorish design.
Here I am basking in the wonderful sun on our balcony
that overlooked part of the golf course and the ocean.
So, I decided to read my book and get some sun!
This is one of the "natural swimming pools"
that were on the beach.
The grounds were beautiful with all kinds of plants
and flowers. At night everything was lit with tiki torches.
The resort had a coy pond with the biggest coy I have
seen. You could literally put your hand in and pet them!
Lastly, these are the bananas. Tenerife is famous for exporting
bananas. They were everywhere!
Tenerife is also famous for it's wines. We were able to do
a wine tasting as well.
Tenerife was formed from
several volcanics explosions. The main volcano, Pico de Teide, is
active but asleep. The last volcanic activity on the island
was in 1909, but it has been making noise as of late
and scientists are monitoring it. We were not able
to get a picture of the volcano due to all the wind and
weather being blown in from the Sahara. Oh, well
maybe next time we will take ride to the top.

Hi Kiddo's,
I was really behind in looking at your blog. You sure have been busy. How fun to have a visitor to show London too. You will be such expert guides. Sure wish I could visit.
We have to get Judy and Dick there.
Best wishes for a continuing good time. Love, Aunt Barb
We are looking into going here now. It looks great! I'm going to have to steal some of your pictures of Zurich to put on my blog. =)
Nice photos. You must have a lovely stay at Abama Hotel Tenerife. It's an awesome place to spend a holiday.
