Riviera Maya and Melissa and Joe's wedding

Ahhh - SUN! We were lucky enough to spend
a week in Riviera Maya. Some of my closest
friends were getting married and we would not
have missed it for anything - the swine flu did
not stop us!

This is me with the bride to be Melissa.

Joe, the groom to be, and me doing my favorite thing -
absolutely nothing and relaxing in the sun!

Here is Derek enjoying a real Mojito!

Joe and I again, celebrating.

The girls out for the night. Me, Melissa, Brenda
and Grace.

The guys too. This is Derek with Joe and his
best man, Kevin.

The day before the wedding we all went to the ruins
in Tulum.
Tulum is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Cobá. The ruins are located on 12-meter (39 ft) cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites.
Through investigations done by Sanders and Miller it has been determined that Tulum was occupied by the late
Postclassic around AD 1200. The site continued to be occupied until contact with the Spanish was made in the early 16th century with the site being abandoned completely by the end of the 16th century.

Then after the ruins we hit the amazingly
beautiful beach at Tulum.

This is me and Melissa at her rehearsal
dinner.

And the big day finally arrived. She
was stunning!

This is Melissa's brother, Alex, with sister, Stephanie.
Then Brenda, her cousin and me and Melissa's Mom.

Congratulations to Melissa and Joe!

The newlyweds with the bridesmaids.

Our last night there Derek and I went into
Playa del Carmen. We couldn't pass up
the photo op.

And then it was time to say goodbye. It is always SO
hard. We had an amazing time visiting with old
friends, relaxing in the sun and celebrating
Melissa and Joe's wedding!
