Polo in the Park and the Hurlingham Ball

In early June we had our friends Brooke and Scott
come back to London for a visit. We are in front
of the Gloucester Road Underground Station sign.
Can't miss that photo op!

We started our day of fun at a pub - but of course!
This is our friend Nick with Brooke and Scott.

Here I am with Derek and my friend Mia.

Now we are at the polo. Here is the gang waiting
for the match to begin.

This is the start of the match. This match was between
Buenos Aires and Moscow. The referee is there in the middle.

An up close shot of the beautiful horses. Each player
has four horses because the game is so exhausting.

The next match was New York v. London. We had a blast
routing on our American team.

This is one of the London players. These two matches were
our first polo experience and it was a blast!

Here I am replacing the divots at halftime.
Or as Derek said having my own "Pretty Woman"
moment. Sorry again about the sideways view!
One of these days we will catch on...

Next is was on to the ball. We did a quick
change and went off to dance the night away!

Brooke and I at the Hurlingham Club. It was
so pretty in the clubhouse.

Brooke and Scott having fun at the ball.

The entire day was a ton of English fun! We were so
lucky to be able to share the experience with our
friends Brooke and Scott. Can't wait for next year!

Love to all,
Leah and Derek
