New set of wheels, R2D2, etc...

Hi again. Ok, we are getting the hang of keeping up with little Drake
while finding time to get some pictures posted.
We promise to get better - the last two months have just been
a bit crazy!

Here we are in downtown Meilen posing under the UBS sign. Derek tried to
open an account for little D - how cool would it be for a toddler to have
a Swiss bank account - and he was turned down. The Swiss are being
very cautious when it comes to U.S. citizens these days!

Here I am in my World Cup gear. We couldn't find any USA gear so I am throwing
my weight (all 3.2 kilos) behind the "home" team.
Now that both USA and Switzerland are out - go Germany!

Here is Drake chilling out in his chair with his foot hanging out. This is how Dad
likes to hang so Drake thought he would give it a try. Much to Mom's chagrin, Drake has the
Beckman feet!

Here is Leah giving little Drake a bath in the Tummy Tub. He loves it - until Dad
comes in and grabs him with cold hands! He made sure Derek was
aware that cold hands are NOT cool!
Here is our R2D2 droid unit. It is otherwise known as a European air conditioner.
It cools things down a bit but not near what we have in the states.
God Bless the USA!
We got a new car just a couple of weeks before Drake's arrival.
There was quite a presentation - which I will try to show in the next pictures.

We custom built the car so it took us about 2 months to get it.
It was covered up when we got to the showroom.

Here we are just waiting for the unveiling.

Leah is not good at waiting...

Ta-da! We went with the BMW X1. It is a SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) and it is perfect
for Switzerland. It is still a concept car in the states
but I would highly recommend it for young families that don't want a full blown
SUV and get sick at the thought of a Mini van or stationwagon.
It is a nice middle ground.
Hope all is well with everyone. Until next post.
Love, Derek, Leah, and Drake
