I am so behind on the blog! I forgot to
post the pictures from our quick trip
back to the States. Derek had a business

trip so I tagged along. I was only able to stay
for about four days but it was worth it! I flew
in on Friday night and Melissa was right there to

welcome Derek and me home!

Saturday was spent shopping and then we
were able to get together with more friends!

This is me with Jaclyn and Danielle having a
great time catching up.

Barb and Shaun met us out later as well.

They are having fun hanging out with our good friend Bob.


The next morning we went to breakfast and
couldn't pass up this photo.

After breakfast the ladies went shopping and
the boys stopped at Ditka's for some Superbowl
pregame action.

Here we all are. Saying goodbye after a day that
was super fun but way too short. It is always so hard to say

goodbye to my family. I never knew how much I
would miss them.


Derek and I made our way over to Melissa
and Joe's place to watch the Superbowl.
I didn't really watch it - I was too busy
visiting with my friends - Melissa, Brenda and Rachel.

The next day I HAD to stop at my former
work to have my dental visit! The one thing I will
never do in London is let someone else clean my teeth!
All my hygienist friends know what I mean!!

My last night was spent with my good friends Laura
and Jessica. Laura was 9 months pregnant in

this photo and just gave birth to Olivia last week.

Congratulations to Laura and Gavin! I can't

wait to meet her in May when I am back.

As I said before it is so hard to leave and say

goodbye to everyone. But it makes us cherish

the time we do get to spend with our loved ones!

We didn't get to spend enough time with everyone

or even see some people but know that we miss you all

and can't wait to be back in May!
